The unique success story of Thonet began with the work of master Michael Thonet (1796-1871), who established the transition from manual furniture production to industrial production. In the 1930s, the company was the world’s largest producer of innovative furniture, which was designed by a number of famous architects including Mart Stam, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. Their clear, open and simple forms were an expression of a new attitude in every-day culture and architecture, which became famous under the catchphrase “New Objectivity”.

New Tendency is a Berlin-based design studio that applies Modernist design principles onto contemporary objects of the everyday. In Bauhaus tradition, New Tendency creates products characterized by conceptual design, clean aesthetics and functional form, handcrafted in Germany. Götessons develops and manufactures products for the office, conference areas and hotel. With Europe as it´s main market Gotessons ensures ergonomic, functional and well-designed solutions for customers. The company was founded in 1984 by Ola Götesson, in 1992 Ola Götessons invented the world's first cable tray holder - this was the start of what Gotessons is today. Son Johan Götesson took over as CEO in 2006 and in 2010 introduced the table screen series ScreenIT with zip which became the first textile product and a new milestone in Gotessons history.
